Save Casper Update…

As you are all aware our original goal was $4000 to save Casper’s Life.  We had to react immediately after the appt. at UPenn when we found we had 2 weeks to make a decision on whether we wanted to follow through with the operation or not.  That put pressure on us to quickly organize the fund raiser to see if we could afford the surgery.  In the meantime, we have been looking for other vets that would consider this type of surgery at a lower cost.  We found one in Exton that already looked at Casper, took X-rays and said they will perform the needed surgery for under $1000!


Thanks to everyone’s generosity and hunger for soup, we raised $600 from the soup sale. That leaves $300-$400 additional needed to cover all medical bills. We are scaling down the original fundraiser as we didn’t want to take advantage of all of our friends, families or our sponsor, Austin’s Restaurants. We still need donations and are going to reward the top 3 donators with a $75, $50 and $25 gift card to Austin’s Restaurant. Austin’s is also going to donate all the ingredients needed for the soup so the money brought from the sale can all go towards the surgery.

So please disregard the previous literature given out and understand we still need donations to reach a $300-$400 level. The top 3 donators, again, will receive gift cards to Austin’s Restaurant; $75 for the top, $50 for the 2nd and $25 for the 3rd. Donations can still be made to Miss Sue in Preschool or Miss Pat at the office.
